Define Powell reporting without overstating the market
Powell city and Park County are different geographic scopes. A dashboard can be more useful when the firm decides which one a report is describing instead of treating a city, county, Wyoming-wide result and an individual household as interchangeable. The Census record identifies Powell as a municipality in Park County and gives a 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate of 6,503. That figure can help establish why geography needs a clear label; it cannot establish legal need or marketing opportunity. Bosseo’s public description says its dashboard can show case-type and city data. Ask how a Powell view would be defined, what a county view would include, and whether statewide tracking would be kept separate.
Recommended approach
Set a written geography policy for Powell city, Park County and any broader Wyoming coverage. Require each dashboard view and discussion to name its geographic scope. Do not use the population estimate as a forecast or as a substitute for measured inquiries.
