1. Define the Laramie service area before judging source data
Laramie city and Albany County are not interchangeable labels. If your firm serves Laramie, nearby Albany County communities, or a wider Wyoming area, attribution should preserve the geographic meaning of each page, referral and inquiry rather than treating every contact as “Laramie.” The Census record establishes the city’s municipal and county relationship; it does not establish how many people seek legal help or which practice areas are active. Bosseo’s public Lead Attribution page says the system can identify landing pages and, where applicable, city pages that produced leads. That makes geographic naming and page taxonomy a decision for your firm, not a conclusion to draw from population data.
Recommended approach
Before a consultation, list the locations your firm intentionally serves and the practice areas associated with each. Ask Bosseo how those labels would appear in a lead journey and whether the reporting can distinguish Laramie from Albany County or broader Wyoming coverage. Do not use the city’s population as a forecast.
