1. Set the geographic boundary before selecting stories
Cheyenne and Laramie County are related but not interchangeable geographic descriptions. The Census record identifies Cheyenne as a municipality and records its county relationship as Laramie County. A firm may serve Cheyenne, the wider county, Wyoming, or another defined area; the product decision should not silently expand one into another. Bosseo’s public Legal News page describes monitoring local and national legal-news sources for a firm’s state and matching stories to practice areas. That stated scope makes geographic judgment essential: a statewide legal development may be relevant to a Cheyenne firm, while an incident elsewhere in Wyoming may require careful explanation before it belongs on the site.
Recommended approach
Write down the geographic audiences the firm actually serves. During a consultation, review whether proposed pages should use Cheyenne, Laramie County, Wyoming, or no place name at all. Require every article to distinguish a reported event’s location from the location of the firm and its service area.
