Start with the bottleneck, not a software wish list
A custom build should answer a specific operational problem. Bosseo’s public Custom Software page describes examples such as client status portals, speed-to-lead tools, referral trackers, document intake flows, internal dashboards, calculators and connections between existing systems. That does not mean every firm needs one of those tools. It means your first evaluation should document what staff currently do, where the work stalls and which handoffs create avoidable effort. Sturgeon Bay city is a municipality in Door County, Wisconsin, with a 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate of 9,806 and a margin of error of 87. That geographic fact helps define the service area for your review; it does not establish demand, case volume or the value of a build. Decide based on your firm’s actual workflow.
Recommended approach
Bring one sentence to the consultation that begins, “Someone at the firm has to manually…” Then identify the people involved, the systems touched, the information entered and the consequence when the task is delayed or missed.
