1. Set the geographic boundary before choosing stories
A Rice Lake firm may serve people in the city, elsewhere in Barron County, or a broader Wisconsin area. Those are different geographic scopes. The Census record identifies Rice Lake as a municipality in Barron County; it does not establish how far your clients travel or which locations should appear in coverage. Bosseo’s public Legal News page describes monitoring for stories in a firm’s state and matching them to practice areas. That makes geographic definition an important consultation question: should coverage be limited to Rice Lake and Barron County, or should it address relevant Wisconsin developments more broadly?
Recommended approach
Bring a written service-area boundary to the consultation. Separate Rice Lake, Barron County and statewide coverage rather than treating them as interchangeable. Ask how each proposed page would identify its geographic relevance and whether the firm can approve stories that fall outside its preferred service area.
