1. Define the New Richmond service area before spending
The Census identifies New Richmond city as a municipality in St. Croix County. That is a geographic relationship, not a recommendation to target every household or every community in the county. A law firm may serve New Richmond alone, New Richmond and other parts of St. Croix County, or a broader Wisconsin area. Those choices affect whether a caller is inside the firm’s intended coverage and whether an inquiry fits the firm’s capacity. Bosseo’s public Local Service Ads page describes category and geography targeting, including practice-area categories and service areas set deliberately. The relevant pre-launch question is therefore specific: which locations can the firm serve, and which locations should be excluded?
Recommended approach
Prepare a written service-area map and a list of excluded locations before discussing budget. Separate the city of New Richmond from St. Croix County and from any broader Wisconsin coverage. Review whether each selected area matches attorney licensing, travel limits, court coverage and the matters the firm actually accepts.
