1. Define the geography before judging performance
The U.S. Census Bureau records Hudson as a municipality in St. Croix County, Wisconsin. Its 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate is 14,959, with a margin of error of 33. That is geographic and population context, not evidence of legal demand, search volume, competition, leads or revenue. Your firm may serve Hudson city, the county, Wisconsin more broadly, or another defined area. Those scopes should not be combined casually in one report. A dashboard review should therefore ask how a tracked keyword, call, form or matter is assigned to a place. It should also distinguish a Hudson target from a St. Croix County target and from a statewide target.
Recommended approach
Bring your intended service area to the consultation as an explicit list. Ask to see how location labels, city targets and county coverage would be defined, filtered and reviewed. Do not approve a measurement plan until the geographic scope matches the matters your firm actually accepts.
