1. Separate Geneva’s address from the journey that produced the inquiry
A Geneva inquiry is not automatically a Geneva-only marketing event. A person may reach a page about a legal service, return later, and contact the firm after another interaction. The municipal geography is precise—Geneva town, Wisconsin, in Walworth County—but the service area your firm chooses to market may be broader or narrower. Population alone cannot tell you how many people need counsel or how many will contact your office. Attribution instead gives you a record to examine: channel, referrer, landing page, device, session detail and the intake answers attached to the lead. That lets you distinguish the location you serve from the path by which a particular inquiry arrived.
Recommended approach
Define the geographic labels your firm actually uses before reviewing performance. Keep Geneva town, Walworth County and any broader Wisconsin or metropolitan references distinct, then ask whether each lead’s source and case information are sufficiently clear for a useful decision.
