Your current website is the starting point. Identify where the domain is registered, where DNS is managed, where the site files and database reside, how email records are maintained and which vendors need access. Bosseo’s public hosting page says it can handle migration of files, databases, DNS, SSL and email records, and says it can host existing sites. Those statements describe Bosseo’s stated service; they do not remove the need to examine your particular configuration. Fitchburg is within Dane County, but a county relationship does not tell you whether your site has one location, several service areas or a broad Wisconsin audience. Map the actual pages and systems instead.
Recommended approach
Bring your current host details, domain registrar information, DNS access process, site inventory and vendor list to the consultation. Ask which elements Bosseo would manage, which would remain with another provider and what approval rights your firm would retain.
