1. Set the geographic boundary before choosing stories
Nitro is recorded as a municipality, and its county relationships are Kanawha County and Putnam County. A Nitro firm may serve people in the city, one or both listed counties, or a broader West Virginia market. Those are different geographic choices. Bosseo’s public Legal News description says its monitoring is for a firm’s state and practice areas, while its examples include local and national sources. That makes geographic discipline important: a page about a West Virginia legal development is not automatically a page about Nitro, and a page about an incident elsewhere is not automatically relevant to a Nitro client.
Recommended approach
Decide whether the firm wants state-level legal explanations, county-relevant coverage, Nitro-specific coverage when substantiated, or a combination. Review every proposed page for the location actually discussed. Do not use the city’s population estimate as a substitute for keyword, inquiry or matter data.
