1. Define the reputation territory before asking for reviews
Your firm may serve Tumwater, Thurston County, or a broader Washington market. Those are not interchangeable geographic claims. Tumwater city’s Census record establishes its municipal boundary and county relationship, but it does not establish how far your firm should market, which clients may review you, or where a prospective client will search. Reputation work should begin with the area your firm actually serves and the profile or profiles it maintains. That prevents a review program from treating every household or individual in the city as a prospective client. It also keeps public responses from implying that your firm handles matters, serves communities, or maintains offices where it has not said that it does.
Recommended approach
Document the geographic scope you want represented publicly: Tumwater, Thurston County, Washington, or another expressly defined service area. Review the wording on your Google Business Profile and website so it matches that scope. Do not use the Census population as a demand estimate or as a reason to predict review volume.
