1. Define the geographic decision before spending
Summit View is a CDP in Pierce County, Washington—not a metropolitan area designation. A firm may serve Summit View alone, other Pierce County communities, or a wider Washington service area, but those are different targeting decisions. Bosseo’s public Local Service Ads description identifies category and geography targeting as part of the program. It also says service areas are set deliberately around the case types and locations a firm wants. The local fact changes the conversation: the firm should not treat the CDP population estimate as a forecast. It should specify whether a Summit View inquiry is inside its service area, whether travel or remote consultations are practical, and which nearby areas are acceptable.
Recommended approach
Bring a written service-area boundary to the consultation. Separate Summit View from Pierce County and from any broader metropolitan or statewide coverage. Ask how each location will be evaluated against practice area, eligibility and intake capacity.
