1. Replace “How did you hear about us?” with a journey
A prospective client may remember only the last step: a call, a form submission or a recommendation. Bosseo describes Lead Attribution as connecting the broader web journey to the inquiry, including the channel, referrer, landing page, device and prior sessions. It also says intake answers can be attached to that journey. That gives your team a more useful starting point than relying on memory. Spokane Valley’s population estimate establishes the geographic scale of the municipality, but it does not identify how people find a particular law firm. Your measurement should therefore rely on actual journeys from people contacting your firm.
Recommended approach
Review whether your current records preserve the first meaningful source, the page that prompted contact, the intake information and the eventual matter outcome. In a consultation, ask how those fields would be associated with your existing response paths and how your team would use them without asking every caller to recall a source.
