1. Start with Sequim’s actual geographic scope
The Census record identifies Sequim as a municipality in Clallam County, Washington. That relationship matters when a news page refers to an incident, court development, agency action or law affecting people in the area. A page about Sequim should not silently broaden its claim to all of Clallam County, the Olympic Peninsula, a metropolitan area or Washington as a whole. Those are different geographic descriptions. Bosseo’s public Legal News page describes monitoring local and national legal-news sources for a firm’s state and matching stories to its practice areas. It does not establish a Sequim-specific source list, local office or local client base.
Recommended approach
Before booking, decide which locations your firm is authorized and prepared to discuss. Ask how a story involving Sequim, Clallam County or another Washington location would be labeled, and what review is available when the geographic connection is indirect. Treat Sequim’s population as eligibility context only, not as a forecast of attention or inquiries.
