1. Start with the geography your firm actually serves
The Census record identifies Monroe city as a municipality in Snohomish County, Washington. That distinction matters when you review Legal News coverage. A page about a Washington legal development is not automatically a Monroe page, and a story involving Snohomish County is not automatically relevant to every Monroe practice. Before approving coverage, identify the geographic relationship that makes the story useful: a Washington statute, a state agency action, a court development, or an incident with a clear connection to the communities and courts your firm serves. Do not use Monroe’s population estimate as a proxy for demand or competition.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how proposed stories would be matched to your state, practice areas, and intended service geography. Decide whether the firm wants coverage limited to Washington developments, whether Snohomish County matters for selected topics, and when a local reference is legally and editorially warranted. A geographic rule should improve usefulness, not manufacture local relevance.
