1. Start with the geographic coverage you intend to represent
A Mercer Island firm may serve clients within the city, elsewhere in King County, or across a broader Washington market. Those are different geographic choices, and a review program should not blur them. The Census identifies Mercer Island city as a municipality in King County; it does not show where your clients live or where prospective clients search. Before changing your reputation program, define whether your Google Business Profile and related messaging are meant to support Mercer Island alone, King County, or a wider service area. Then review whether your current profile information, service descriptions, and review language accurately reflect that scope. Do not use the city’s population as a proxy for demand or expected review volume.
Recommended approach
Map the locations your firm genuinely serves and compare that map with the locations represented in your existing client records and public profile. Treat the result as a coverage decision, not a demand forecast.
