1. Turn Kent service coverage into an intake review question
Your firm may describe its service area as Kent, King County, Washington, or a broader area. Those labels are not interchangeable. Kent is recorded as a municipality in King County, and the Census estimate applies to Kent city—not to every household or individual in the county and not to the entire metropolitan area. Intake Coach does not make the geographic decision for you. It gives you a way to examine whether the conversations your firm receives are handled consistently when a caller identifies a location, court, deadline, incident, or legal issue. Start by deciding which geographic facts matter to eligibility and which belong in follow-up. A caller’s location may affect ownership or escalation, but the reason should come from your firm’s legal-service rules rather than from population alone.
Recommended approach
Write a Kent and King County coverage rule before reviewing performance. Identify which location questions an intake specialist should ask, which answers require attorney review, and which matters should be declined or redirected. Then use coaching feedback to check whether those questions were asked and whether the next step was clear.
