1. Define the geographic view before you judge ROI
A dashboard can only answer a location question when the location itself is defined. DuPont is a city in Pierce County, not a synonym for the county, the wider metropolitan area, Washington as a whole, or every household and individual nearby. The Census record identifies DuPont city and its Pierce County relationship, with a 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate of 9,931. That is eligibility and geographic context—not proof that residents are searching for a particular legal service or that a page will produce a case. Ask how the dashboard would distinguish a DuPont target from a Pierce County target and from a statewide target. Also decide whether your firm wants to analyze the city where a search occurs, the page or keyword being tracked, the caller’s stated location, or the matter’s service area.
Recommended approach
Bring a written geographic definition to the review. Ask Bosseo to show how city, county and state targets would be named and separated, then set acceptance criteria requiring every location-based view to identify its geographic scope. Do not treat a DuPont population figure as a forecast.
