1. Define the geography before you read the numbers
A local dashboard can become misleading when a firm treats Bellingham, Whatcom County and Washington as interchangeable. They are not the same geographic scope. Bellingham is a municipality, and its recorded county relationship is Whatcom County. A ranking, call or lead should therefore be labeled according to the geography it actually represents rather than being described generally as “local.” The city’s population estimate provides context for the municipality only; it cannot establish how many people need legal help or how many prospects search online.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how geographic labels are defined for tracked keywords, pages, calls and leads. Decide whether your review should focus on Bellingham, the wider county, Washington, or more than one area. Keep those views separate so a statewide result does not appear to be a Bellingham result.
