1. Define the geography before you interpret a local result
Woodbridge is recorded as a CDP in Prince William County. That distinction matters when a dashboard shows city or location information. A label such as Woodbridge should not automatically be treated as the whole county, a metropolitan area, or all of Virginia. Those are different geographic scopes. Before relying on a location view, ask how the dashboard names a city, county, service area or page target. Also ask whether a reported call or lead is associated with a searched location, a landing page, a caller’s stated location, or another classification. The Census population estimate gives context for Woodbridge, but it cannot tell you how many people need legal services or how many will contact a firm.
Recommended approach
Use the consultation to agree on geographic definitions. Review Woodbridge and Prince William County separately where the data permits, record the scope of each metric, and avoid combining them until the firm has decided that the comparison is meaningful.
