1. Set the geographic boundary before reviewing results
A local dashboard is only useful when everyone agrees what “Wolf Trap” means. The Census records Wolf Trap as a CDP in Fairfax County, Virginia; it is not the same reporting unit as Fairfax County, the Washington metropolitan area, Virginia as a whole, a household or an individual. Bosseo’s public ROI Dashboard page says it can show tracked service-and-city targets, city data and source attribution. Those capabilities make geographic definition an important consultation question, not proof that a particular boundary or coverage level is already configured for your firm.
Recommended approach
Ask for a written reporting definition before treating a location figure as a result. Review whether Wolf Trap is tracked separately from Fairfax County and other service areas, which practice-area and location combinations are included, and whether a call or form can be associated with a location without guessing. Use the Census geography to name the place accurately; do not use its population estimate as a forecast of clients or revenue.
