Start with the site and the Williamsburg audience you actually serve
The U.S. Census Bureau records Williamsburg city as a municipality within Virginia, with a 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate of 15,798. That figure describes the city’s population; it does not establish legal demand, search volume, competition, leads or revenue. It does, however, make geographic precision important when you review website performance. A firm should distinguish Williamsburg city from any wider service area it intentionally serves elsewhere in Virginia. Hosting does not decide that service area, but it supports the pages, forms and technical records used to present it. A hosting review should therefore begin with an inventory of the current site rather than an assumption that every local page, redirect or intake path has the same technical requirements.
Recommended approach
List the domains, subdomains, location pages, practice-area pages, forms and third-party records that must remain available. Separate Williamsburg city pages from pages aimed at other Virginia communities so the migration review preserves the firm’s intended geographic structure.
