1. Start with the calls your Triangle practice actually receives
Triangle’s population estimate is useful geographic context, but it cannot tell you how many calls come from Triangle, Prince William County, elsewhere in Virginia, or outside your service area. It also cannot show which practice areas callers ask about. Your first decision should therefore be factual: which conversations belong in the intake review, and which are outside the firm’s intended geography or matter types? Intake Coach’s public description says calls are recorded, transcribed, and tagged by case type automatically. That can support a review of the conversations themselves instead of treating local population as a proxy for demand.
Recommended approach
Define the geographic and matter boundaries you want to review before interpreting scores. Separate Triangle callers from other Prince William County or Virginia callers where that distinction matters to your practice. Do not use the ACS estimate to set a call target or forecast signed matters.
