1. Start with the actual service area
Spotsylvania Courthouse is a census-designated place in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Its population estimate is limited to that CDP and should not be treated as the population of the county, the wider Virginia market, or a metropolitan area. For an LSA review, the geographic question is therefore practical: which places should your firm serve, and which locations should be excluded? Bosseo’s public page says its LSA management includes service-area targeting. That makes geographic definition a central decision, not a detail to leave to a default setting.
Recommended approach
Prepare a written service-area boundary before discussing budget. Separate Spotsylvania Courthouse from Spotsylvania County and any other locations your firm may serve. Identify matters that require local availability, matters you accept across Virginia, and locations that are outside your capacity. Ask Bosseo to explain how those boundaries would be represented in the campaign and how out-of-area inquiries would be identified.
