1. Define the service area before setting the campaign
South Riding is a CDP in Loudoun County, not a synonym for all of Loudoun County or the Washington metropolitan area. That distinction matters when you decide which calls your firm wants to pay for. A profile aimed at South Riding alone presents a different geographic question from one intended to cover additional Loudoun County communities or a broader Virginia practice. The population estimate of 34,352 identifies the place and its scale; it does not establish search volume, legal need or available leads. Bosseo’s public Local Service Ads description says its program includes practice-area categories and service areas set deliberately. That makes geographic coverage a decision to document, not a conclusion to draw from population.
Recommended approach
Bring a written service-area policy to the consultation. Separate South Riding from any other place your firm serves, identify locations that should be excluded, and decide whether calls outside the preferred geography can still be accepted. Review whether each practice category should use the same coverage. Measure inquiries by location so a broad service area does not hide an intake-quality problem.
