1. Start with the geography you actually serve
Pulaski town and Pulaski County are not interchangeable labels. The Census record identifies Pulaski town as a municipality within Pulaski County; it does not establish the boundaries of your service area. A useful attribution review should therefore distinguish the town, the county and any broader Virginia area your firm intentionally serves. Do not treat the town’s population estimate as evidence of search demand or likely case volume. Instead, review whether your intake records capture the location relevant to a matter and whether reports can be read without confusing a Pulaski-town inquiry with a Pulaski County inquiry.
Recommended approach
Define the geographic fields and reporting labels your firm needs before interpreting results. In the consultation, decide whether location should be recorded as part of intake, reviewed alongside source data, or handled through a separate reporting convention. Keep the town and county distinct wherever that distinction affects ownership, eligibility or marketing decisions.
