1. Set the geographic boundary before choosing stories
Lincolnia is recorded as a CDP in Fairfax County, Virginia. A firm may serve Lincolnia specifically, Fairfax County more broadly, or a wider Virginia market; those are different editorial scopes. A page about a statewide legal development should not imply that every consequence is Lincolnia-specific. Conversely, a page about an event elsewhere in Virginia may be useful only if the firm has a reason to address it. Bosseo’s public Legal News description says stories are matched to a firm’s practice areas and state. It does not establish that every page will be locally specific to Lincolnia or Fairfax County.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how geographic scope would be handled for your firm. Decide whether Lincolnia belongs in the title, body, service-area explanation or not at all for each story. Keep the CDP, Fairfax County and Virginia distinctions explicit, and review whether a page answers a real question for the audience you serve rather than adding a place name for its own sake.
