1. Start with the correct geographic boundary
Franklin Farm is recorded as a CDP in Fairfax County, Virginia. That matters because a page for Franklin Farm is not the same thing as a page for Fairfax County, the Washington metropolitan area, or Virginia generally. Those are different geographic scopes and should not be treated as interchangeable. Bosseo’s public product description says firms can choose a whole state or only selected counties, with city-by-service pages inside the selected footprint. For your firm, the first decision is therefore not “How many pages can be published?” It is “Which places do we actually serve, and which locations should be represented?” A Franklin Farm page may be relevant to your local coverage plan, but the Census population estimate cannot tell you whether people in the CDP are searching for a particular legal service or whether competing pages exist.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to map Franklin Farm separately from Fairfax County and from any broader Virginia footprint. Approve only locations that match your service area, consultation policy, and ability to handle inquiries. Treat the Census record as geographic context, not as a forecast.
