1. Set the geographic frame before reading a number
The Census record identifies Fairfax Station as a CDP in Fairfax County. It does not establish the boundaries of your legal market, the number of prospective clients, or the places that should appear in your reporting. A law firm may serve Fairfax Station, other parts of Fairfax County, Virginia, or additional jurisdictions, but those are different geographic scopes and should not be collapsed into one total. Bosseo’s public ROI Dashboard page says the product can show case-type and city data and can track service-and-city keyword targets. That makes geographic definition an important evaluation point, not a reason to assume local demand.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to demonstrate how a Fairfax Station target would be distinguished from Fairfax County, other Virginia locations and any broader service area your firm chooses. Decide which geographic labels belong in rankings, calls, forms, source attribution and matter reporting. Require each label to have a written meaning so a city total is not mistaken for a county total or for revenue from a particular community.
