1. Set the geographic boundary before reading the numbers
Cave Spring is a CDP in Roanoke County, not a synonym for the entire county, the Roanoke metropolitan area or all of Virginia. That distinction matters when the dashboard shows city, service-area or keyword information. A location label can describe a search target, a caller’s stated location, a page topic or a matter’s geographic relevance; those are not automatically the same field. The Census population estimate is useful context for defining the place, but it does not establish legal need, search behavior, case volume or expected return.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how geographic labels are defined in the dashboard and how you would distinguish Cave Spring from Roanoke County, nearby communities and broader Virginia targets. Decide whether a location field means the search target, the caller’s location, the matter’s venue or another agreed definition. Do not approve a report merely because it contains the word Cave Spring.
