1. Start with the geographic definition
A Milton firm may describe its service area in more than one way: Milton town, Chittenden County, Vermont, or a broader set of places. Those are not interchangeable. The Census records Milton as a municipal town and identifies its county relationship as Chittenden County. The population estimate applies to Milton town, not to every household, individual or potential client in the county. It also does not establish demand for any practice area. A dashboard review should therefore make geography explicit. Ask which city, county, state, service and keyword definitions are being measured, and whether a result is being attributed to a place because of a search term, a landing page, a caller’s stated location or another rule.
Recommended approach
Bring a written list of the locations and practice areas your firm actually wants to evaluate. Ask Bosseo to show how those labels appear in rankings, calls, leads and case-type reports. Do not treat Milton’s population as a forecast.
