1. Start with the geographic definition, not a dashboard tile
The Census record identifies Essex Junction city as a municipality in Chittenden County. That distinction matters when your firm evaluates location reporting. A city, a county, a metropolitan area and the State of Vermont are not interchangeable reporting scopes. A dashboard view that combines them could answer a different question from the one your partners are asking. Bosseo’s public ROI Dashboard page says rankings can be tracked for service-and-city targets and that city data can inform decisions. It does not establish which Essex Junction targets, neighboring locations or broader geographic sets would be configured for your firm.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to state the geographic definitions attached to each ranking, call, lead and matter view. Decide whether your internal review needs an Essex Junction view, a Chittenden County view, a Vermont view or separate views. Keep the Census population as context rather than treating it as a forecast. Acceptance should require that a partner can identify the geography behind every location-based result.
