1. Set the geographic boundary before discussing coverage
Barre town and Washington County are not interchangeable audiences. The Census record identifies Barre town as a municipal town in Washington County, Vermont. It does not establish the population of the county, the size of a metropolitan area, or demand beyond the town. A Legal News conversation should therefore begin with the geography your firm actually serves. If your practice is limited to Barre, the review should examine whether pages should refer only to Barre. If you serve clients throughout Washington County or elsewhere in Vermont, those areas should be evaluated separately rather than folded into a single local label. Bosseo’s public Legal News page says its service matches stories to a firm’s practice areas and state. That supports reviewing Vermont-level coverage, but it does not by itself define a Barre-specific editorial boundary.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to map proposed coverage to Barre town, Washington County and any wider Vermont service area as separate choices. Do not use the 8,005 population estimate as a forecast of inquiries or as evidence that a broader geographic scope will perform.
