1. Start with the geography your firm actually serves
Bosseo’s public description allows a statewide footprint or a tighter footprint limited to selected counties. For a St. George firm, the first geographic distinction is important: St. George is a city, while Washington County is the recorded county relationship. A page for St. George is not automatically a page for every community in Washington County, and a Washington County scope is not the same as statewide Utah coverage. The Census population record identifies St. George city; it does not show how far your clients travel or where your firm accepts matters.
Recommended approach
Bring a precise service-area decision to the consultation. You might assess St. George alone, cities within Washington County, or a broader Utah footprint, but choose based on your intake territory, court and filing knowledge, staffing, and willingness to serve each location. Treat the population estimate as geographic eligibility context only—not as evidence that a particular page will attract a matter.
