1. Set the geographic boundary before choosing stories
Bosseo’s public Legal News description says its system monitors local and national legal-news sources for a firm’s state and matches stories to practice areas. Your firm should therefore define Springville as its home municipality, Utah County as the recorded county relationship, and Utah as the broader state context. Those are not interchangeable audiences. A page about a Utah law change may be useful statewide; a page about an event elsewhere in Utah may not be appropriate for a Springville office or for your practice. The Census record identifies Springville city and Utah County, but it cannot tell you which stories people search for or whether a story will produce a consultation.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to review geographic filters and examples for your actual practice areas. Decide when a story should use Springville, Utah County, another Utah locality, or the state generally. Do not treat the city’s population as a forecast.
