1. Define the footprint around Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County
The city and the county are different geographic scopes. A page aimed at Salt Lake City should not be treated as a page for every community in Salt Lake County, and a county-wide plan should not be represented as city-only coverage. Bosseo’s public description says the program can be scoped to an entire state or to selected counties. That gives your firm a concrete choice: assess a Utah-wide footprint or assess a tighter Salt Lake County footprint first. The Census record identifies Salt Lake City as a municipality in Salt Lake County, but it does not say which locations produce legal searches or qualified matters.
Recommended approach
List the cities and communities your firm actually serves, then compare that list with the geographic scope you would be willing to publish. Ask Bosseo to show how Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County would be represented, what would distinguish one location page from another, and how the firm would review pages outside the city. Do not approve statewide coverage merely because the state is larger; choose the footprint your attorneys can serve responsibly.
