1. Define the Salt Lake City coverage you actually want
Salt Lake City city and Salt Lake County are not interchangeable geographic labels. A firm may serve the city, the county, surrounding communities, or a narrower set of locations depending on its practice areas and eligibility. Bosseo’s public Local Service Ads description says its program includes practice-area categories and service areas. That makes geographic scope a decision to document rather than a setting to assume. The Census record establishes the city’s municipal and county relationship; it does not establish where prospective clients will call or whether a firm can accept a matter.
Recommended approach
Before discussing budget, write down the locations your firm accepts for each practice area. Separate Salt Lake City from Salt Lake County and from any broader Utah service area. Ask Bosseo to review whether the proposed service areas align with the firm’s actual eligibility, consultation capacity and desired case types. Do not use the city population as a forecast of calls.
