Will AI Answering replace our Price firm’s front desk?+
Bosseo’s public description says the team receives the first ring and the AI steps in when nobody answers within 20 seconds. It presents the system as a safety net for unanswered, after-hours, holiday and overflow calls, not as a reason to remove your firm’s human ownership. Confirm the exact routing configuration during your consultation.
What information can the system capture?+
Bosseo says AI Answering captures case details and caller information and provides a transcript and case summary. The precise questions should be approved for your firm’s practice areas, service geography and consultation process. Do not assume a general configuration captures every fact your attorneys need.
Can it distinguish new callers from existing clients?+
Bosseo says calls are classified as Potential New Client, Current Client or Other. Your firm should decide what each category means operationally and who reviews it. Classification should support triage; it should not replace conflict checks, legal analysis or an attorney’s decision.
Where do transcripts and summaries go?+
Bosseo’s public page says they can be delivered to your inbox or case-management system and describes automatic delivery of caller details, transcripts and tags. Ask which destination fits your current systems and what access, retention and review practices your firm will use.
How should we handle urgent calls?+
Define urgency before configuration. Identify the person who reviews an urgent summary, the backup owner, the callback route and the situations requiring immediate human attention. A summary can surface information, but your firm must set the legal, ethical and operational response rules.
Does Price’s population determine whether we need AI Answering?+
No. Price’s 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate is 8,248, with a margin of error of 23. That is municipal population context, not evidence of call volume, legal demand, competition, staffing needs or revenue. Use your firm’s call history, missed-call patterns and service-area rules to evaluate fit.
