1. Start with Venus’s actual service area
The U.S. Census Bureau records Venus as a municipality in Texas associated with Ellis County and Johnson County. Its 2020–2024 ACS five-year population estimate is 6,745, with a margin of error of 221. That is geographic and population context only; it does not establish legal demand, search volume, competition, call volume, language needs or staffing requirements. The attribution question is narrower: can your firm distinguish an inquiry associated with Venus from one associated with the rest of your service area, and can it evaluate the source of each inquiry without relying on memory?
Recommended approach
Define the geographic labels your team already uses before reviewing attribution. Decide whether Venus, Ellis County and Johnson County should be treated as separate reporting views or simply as intake fields. Do not use the population estimate to forecast leads. Use it to keep the service-area discussion precise, then judge the product by whether its journey detail supports your firm’s decisions.
