1. Set the geographic boundary before reading Terrell results
A local dashboard is only useful when its geography is explicit. Terrell is recorded as a city in Kaufman County. Those are not interchangeable fields: a Terrell city result is different from a Kaufman County result, and neither automatically represents every person or household the firm may serve. The Census population estimate describes the municipality; it does not establish search behavior, case demand or marketing opportunity. In a consultation, ask how city, county, service area and other location values will be represented. Also ask whether a location label describes a ranking target, a caller’s stated location, a landing-page target or a matter attribute. Without that distinction, a large total can conceal a narrow or mixed geography.
Recommended approach
Approve a geographic measurement definition before using the dashboard for budget or practice-area decisions. Review Terrell separately from Kaufman County, document any wider Texas or metropolitan scope, and require each location view to explain what is being counted.
