1. Define the geography before you interpret the board
A Robstown firm may discuss the city, Nueces County, Texas or a broader service area. Those are not interchangeable reporting scopes. The Census record identifies Robstown city and its relationship to Nueces County; it does not say that every county resident is a prospective client or that every search in the county belongs in a Robstown report. A useful dashboard review should therefore begin with the geographic labels attached to rankings, calls, forms and matters. Ask whether a city target, county target and statewide target are visibly different, and whether a lead’s location is a reported field rather than an assumption made from a page title.
Recommended approach
Bring your actual service-area definitions to the consultation. Decide which geographic questions matter to the firm: where a person found you, where a search target is located, where a matter arises or where the firm is willing to accept work. Do not use the Robstown population estimate as a forecast. Use it only to keep the municipality and county relationship precise when you establish reporting boundaries.
