1. Set the geographic boundary before reviewing story coverage
Roanoke’s recorded county relationships are Denton County and Tarrant County. Those are not interchangeable with the city, the broader metropolitan area, Texas as a whole, households or individual residents. A Roanoke firm should therefore decide whether its news coverage should address the city, one or both counties, a wider Texas audience, or a combination tied to particular practice areas. Bosseo’s public Legal News page describes monitoring local and national legal-news sources for a firm’s state and matching stories to its practice areas. That supports a geographic review, but it does not establish local demand, search volume or competition.
Recommended approach
Bring a written service-area map to the consultation. Mark where the firm accepts matters, which county relationships matter to each practice, and which Texas stories would be useful to people in Roanoke. Exclude locations the firm does not serve, even when a story is prominent.
