1. Define the geography before reading the numbers
The Census record identifies Kyle as a municipality and records its county relationship as Hays County. Those are different geographic scopes. A Kyle city keyword, a Hays County result and a broader Texas measure should not be treated as interchangeable. Population is eligibility context only; it does not prove that people are searching for a practice area or that a particular page produces matters. Before evaluating the dashboard, ask which city, county, state and service-area labels appear in rankings, lead records and attribution views. Also ask whether the board can preserve the original geographic label instead of collapsing every inquiry into “Kyle.”
Recommended approach
Use the consultation to agree on geographic definitions for each report. Treat the 56,823 estimate as a reason to make boundaries explicit, not as a forecast. Decide which locations are relevant to your firm and require each metric to retain its stated scope.
