1. Set the service area before you set the budget
A Katy listing does not by itself define every location your firm should serve. The Census records Katy as a municipality with relationships to Fort Bend County, Harris County, and Waller County. Those are separate geographic relationships, not interchangeable audiences. A firm may want inquiries from Katy only, from selected parts of one or more counties, or from a broader service area. The correct choice depends on where the firm accepts matters and whether its staff can respond consistently across that area. Bosseo’s public Local Service Ads page says its management includes practice-area categories and service areas. That makes geographic scope a decision to document rather than an assumption to hide inside a campaign.
Recommended approach
Bring a written service-area policy to the consultation. Identify the locations the firm serves, the locations it does not serve, and any boundary that requires attorney review before an intake proceeds. Ask Bosseo how those boundaries would be represented and measured in the LSA program.
