1. Set the geographic boundary before reviewing stories
A Donna firm may want coverage for Donna, Hidalgo County, a wider Texas audience or a combination of those areas. Those are different scopes. The Census identifies Donna as a municipality in Hidalgo County; it does not establish that residents are searching for legal-news pages or that a particular story will produce inquiries. Bosseo’s public Legal News description refers to matching stories to the firm’s practice areas and state. That makes geographic definition an important implementation question rather than a conclusion to draw from population alone.
Recommended approach
Decide which geographic relationship each practice area should serve. For example, review whether a page should address a Texas law change broadly, explain a matter relevant to Hidalgo County, or use Donna only as part of the firm’s service-area language. Do not treat a Donna population figure as a forecast. Ask how location will be reflected in titles, explanations, calls to action and later measurement.
