1. Define Center and Shelby County coverage before selecting stories
The Census record describes Center as a municipality in Shelby County, Texas. It does not establish the size of a service area, the number of potential clients, competition, search volume, or legal need. Bosseo’s public Legal News page says its system matches stories to a firm’s practice areas and state. That distinction matters for a Center firm: a story affecting people in Center may require a different call to action from a statewide Texas development, while a Shelby County matter may have a broader audience than the city alone. Do not let a city label silently become a countywide or statewide claim.
Recommended approach
At the consultation, write down the geographic scope for each practice area: Center city, Shelby County, Texas, or another area the firm actually serves. Ask how that scope will appear in a page, how readers will understand it, and which inquiries should be treated as geographically qualified.
