1. Define the Baytown service area before setting coverage
The Census record identifies Baytown as a municipality and records relationships with Chambers County and Harris County. That distinction matters when you decide how broadly a Local Services Ads profile should describe its service area. A city, a county and a metropolitan area are not interchangeable, and a firm should not represent that it serves an area unless it actually does. Bosseo’s public Local Services Ads page describes category and geography targeting, including practice-area categories and service areas. It also says those settings can be adjusted to the case types and locations the firm wants. The appropriate question is therefore operational: which locations can your firm serve, and which locations should be excluded?
Recommended approach
Prepare a service-area list that separates Baytown from each county or other area your firm genuinely serves. Review travel limits, consultation availability and matter eligibility before expanding coverage. Do not use the Baytown population estimate to predict lead volume or justify a budget. Ask Bosseo to review how the proposed geography would be represented and measured.
