1. Start with the Milan service boundary
A Milan law firm may serve people in the city, elsewhere in Gibson County, or beyond it. Those are different geographic decisions. The Census record identifies Milan city and its county relationship; it does not say where a firm’s clients come from or which matters it accepts. Video Intake should make the firm’s intended geography explicit in the visitor experience and in the questions used to assess fit.
Recommended approach
During the consultation, list the locations the firm serves, the locations it does not serve, and any practice-area-specific limits. Review whether a visitor’s location should lead to an acceptance path, a human review, or a clear decline-and-follow-up path. Do not use Milan’s population as a proxy for prospective-client volume.
