1. Define the geography before you interpret the numbers
Manchester city and Coffee County are not interchangeable reporting areas. A city view can answer one question, while a county view can answer another. The Census record identifies Manchester as a municipality and records its relationship with Coffee County; it does not show legal demand, search volume or prospective-client activity. Your dashboard review should therefore distinguish Manchester from Coffee County rather than treating every local interaction as a single market result. Ask which location labels apply to rankings, calls, forms and matters, and whether a report can be read without confusing city, county, Tennessee-wide and metropolitan coverage.
Recommended approach
Bring your preferred geographic definitions to the consultation. Decide whether Manchester should be a standalone service-and-city target, whether Coffee County should be reported separately, and which broader Tennessee observations belong in a different view. Require every geographic total to have a clear label before using it in a budget or practice-area discussion.
