1. Define the Columbia geography before reading a number
The dashboard page says firms can examine city data and service-and-city keyword targets. For a Columbia firm, that creates a basic measurement question: does a record refer to Columbia city, Maury County, Tennessee, or another area the firm serves? Those are not interchangeable. The Census identifies Columbia city as a municipality and records its county relationship as Maury County. The population estimate applies to Columbia city, not automatically to the county, the metropolitan area or every household and individual reached by marketing. A location label without a defined geography can make a ranking or lead count look more precise than it is.
Recommended approach
Ask Bosseo to show how geographic labels are defined in the dashboard and how your firm would distinguish Columbia from Maury County and broader Tennessee targets. Use the Columbia population only as eligibility and planning context. Do not use it as a forecast of cases, demand or revenue.
